On January 7th, Sophie and I celebrated Russian Christmas. I was so sick, so I didn't get to do everything I wanted. It was just me, Sophie and my mom celebrating. To the best of my ability and knowledge, I tried to honor this Russian celebration. Sophie and I plan to celebrate Russian Christmas each year.
The traditional table set up:The white table cloth represents Jesus' swaddling. The candle symbolizes Jesus as the Light of the World. The hay symbolizes the poverty of the Manger. The bread symbolizes the Bread of Life. The honey & garlic represent the sweetness and bitterness of life.
